Healthy travel tips

I promised I would share my tips for staying healthy when on the road.

Whether you eat healthy by choice or are dealing with some form of chronic illness, e.g auto immune, chronic fatigue, painful joints, or any other mystery illness, you’re going to want to have access to living vibrant foods.

After battling Epstein Barr Virus myself & kicking it to the kerb by following the Medical Medium protocol, I always support my body by choosing life giving foods (even though I now feel healthy & well)

I do this because i want to stay healthy. I also do this because I Love my body & I naturally want to give it nourishment and care.

That being said, there’s always going to be times when you’re caught off guard with no healthy options available when you’re away from home.

And the simplest solution I’ve found for this is smoothies!

Smoothies are by far the most easiest thing to whip up, and they take up minimal space. You can store them in mason jars with a lid and you can fill them with  lots of amazing health giving ingredients  - such as these different flavours I’m taking with me;

Pineapple, Coconut Yoghurt, Hemp seeds Almond milk, & Tumeric, black pepper (seriously amazing combo)

Strawberry, Wild Blueberry, Celery, Almond Milk & Hemp seeds

Baby spinach, Banana, Spirulina, Almond milk

These guys will last around 2 days fuelling me for either a breakfast or a lunch or just an in between snack that will support me for a couple of hours until my next meal.

The other thing I take, is mixed nuts. As well as raw bread which I make myself from a mixture of Linseed, Sunflower Seeds, Almonds & Chia.

This is brilliant when I want something more substantial like a salad sandwich with vegan coconut cheese & salad.

The great thing is, there’s so many health food bars popping up here & there which means unless you live somewhere really remote, chances are you’ll have access to foods that are going to support you & your health.

If you’re anything like me, I love visiting cafes and sampling different healthy foods when I’m on a little holiday break!

It’s all part of the holiday fun!

I just make sure that I choose consciously if I am eating out along with allowing myself a little treat here and there - such as a raw cake ‘for the Soul’ 😋

Wishing you Resilient health & an abundance of unlimited energy.

Love Nat xx
